Genspect is an organisation that campaigns for ‘A Healthy Approach to Sex and Gender’. Claire was a guest at their September 2024 conference in Lisbon and appeared on a panel with Dr Jan Macvarish, Education and Events Director of the Free Speech Union (FSU), and Akua Reindorf KC, a barrister specializing in employment, discrimination and human rights law.
They spoke about the ongoing conflict between free speech and cancel culture, focusing on the challenges people face when speaking out about gender and sex issues, and shared personal experiences and understanding into the impact on workplaces, individuals’ careers and the larger cultural war over speech.
